Abstract

Efficient procurement and inventory management are fundamental to modern enterprise operations, enabling organizations to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce operational costs, and ensure uninterrupted production and distribution. Traditional Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems centralize procurement and inventory data but often face challenges related to limited transparency, data tampering, delayed verification, unauthorized modifications, and poor collaboration among supply chain stakeholders. Permissioned blockchain technology provides a decentralized yet controlled environment where only authorized participants can access, validate, and record business transactions, ensuring secure and transparent information sharing. This paper proposes a Permissioned Blockchain Framework integrated with ERP systems to enhance procurement and inventory management through immutable transaction records, smart contract automation, distributed identity management, and real-time inventory synchronization. The proposed architecture improves traceability, supplier accountability, inventory visibility, procurement efficiency, and regulatory compliance while preserving enterprise privacy. By combining blockchain with existing ERP infrastructure, organizations can establish trusted business collaboration, minimize fraud, automate procurement workflows, and improve operational resilience across digital supply chain ecosystems.
